Facilities Manager

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic facilities manager to join us at an exciting stage of our development. This role will be well suited to a facilities manager with a particular skillset in IT and technology.
Working as part of the small but experienced and supportive estates team, this new role requires a proactive individual who is able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, and who is able to take effective decisions independently. Key responsibilities include maintaining the facilities of the Forest’s operational buildings and sites, working with utilities and other suppliers, managing basic operational IT infrastructure including liaison with an external IT provider.
This unique organisation comprises an interesting mix of forestry, farming, residential, commercial, leisure and woodland burial operations. The breadth of commercial and technical skills required will stimulate and reward.
The role will involve significant autonomous working, as well as playing a leading role as part of a small team and requires a passionate ambassador for the charity.
