The Heart of England Forest is aware of the proposed Arrow Valley Solar Development in south Warwickshire and east Worcestershire. Given its scale and proximity to our existing landholdings and the area in which we aim to grow the Forest, we are carefully considering the proposal and its potential implications. 

Our charitable purpose is to create and care for a connected forest across Warwickshire and Worcestershire for the benefit of people, wildlife and the environment. We recognise the importance of the transition to clean energy and tackling climate change, while believing this should be achieved in a way that protects nature, important habitats and landscapes. 

The proposal is at an early stage and there is currently insufficient detail for us to reach an informed view. We are engaging with the developer and will participate in the consultation, focusing on matters relevant to the Forest and our charitable objectives. 

We will continue to assess the proposals as further information becomes available and engage with local partners before determining our position.
