If your tree dies, we reserve the right to move your plaque to a different tree.

When will our tree be planted in the Forest?

We will endeavour to plant your tree between January and March 2025. We aim to email a pdf tree certificate to the contact email you have provided within five working days of receipt of your online donation.

Where will our tree be planted in the Forest?

Trees from this appeal will be planted in Eddies Wood between the villages of Dorsington and Long Marston.

Within 5 working days of when your tree has been planted, we will send you an email to confirm the species and a What3Words location identifier to enable you to visit your tree. We anticipate planting the trees from this Appeal will be planted in late February and into March.

Can I choose the species of tree being planted?

We are unable to offer a choice of species. Our Forest team plants a variety of native broadleaf trees each year according to our planting plans. When we confirm the location of your tree, we will also let you know the species that has been planted in your name.

Can I come and see our tree being planted?

We are unable to provide this opportunity as part of this limited appeal offer. Our Forest Team will be planting all the trees.

Is this tree planting opportunity the same as ‘Plant a Tree’ listed on the Heart of England Forest website?

No. This opportunity has been developed especially with group fundraising in mind, for organisations and businesses, and is available for a limited period as part of our Cold Days Warm Hearts winter fundraising appeal 2024. Our ongoing Plant a Tree product is only available to individuals.

Will we now own the tree that is planted in our company name?
  • You are not purchasing the tree that will be planted, it remains the property of the Heart of England Forest.

  • Please do not decorate your tree. Any decoration placed on, around or beneath trees, shrubs and benches will be removed.

  • Please do not plant anything around your tree. Any seed, bulb, plant, shrub or tree planted without permission will be removed.

  • Please do not remove or cut other trees, shrubs or ground vegetation surrounding your tree. Doing so may have a detrimental impact on the local flora and may lead to the removal of the dedication plaque or tag.

  • Please be aware that over time, our objectives and site plans may be updated, reviewed or varied and areas previously unmanaged by way of thinning and coppicing, may come into prescriptive work again. Whilst the Heart of England Forest will use its best endeavours to maintain and protect our woods at all times, we are not obligated to maintain or replace any specifically dedicated trees, tags or dedicated areas.
